Reconciliation Week - Sorry Day

On Friday 24th May, representatives of Greensborough College were fortunate to be invited to a local Banyule Council Sorry Day Smoking Ceremony.  National Sorry Day is an Australia-wide observance held on 26th May each year. This day gives people the chance to come together and share the steps towards healing for the Stolen Generations, their families and communities and the power of saying sorry.

They were led by Ella Teagle, Junior School Captain, Brock Perichon, VCAL Captain, and accompanied by Mr Jenner, Assistant Principal.

They enjoyed watching the Wurundjeri Elders as they performed a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony and listened to music performed by local Aboriginal artists.
