News from the Kitchen Garden program

The Year 5/6 students are currently taking part in kitchen safety sessions before commencing the practical garden and kitchen classes next week. Volunteer numbers for our Year 5/6 classes are very pleasing with many parents, grandparents and friends of our community giving up their time to contribute.

The Year 3/4 students will take part in the Kitchen Garden program from Term 2. More volunteers are required for this age group. If you can spare two hours on a Tuesday in Term 2, please leave your contact details with the office staff as soon as possible.

Friday lunches

Lunch orders will recommence on Friday, February 21st and can be ordered via the Qkr app. Orders need to be placed by 9.00 on the Tuesday prior to be included. A new menu will be available shortly. The food offered will more accurately reflect our Kitchen Garden Program with seasonal and nutritious food being our focus. All food offered will be prepared at Café 1739 and there will be changes each term to the menu as fruits, vegetables and herbs go in and out of season.

Thursdays: 8.40-10.00 and 2.45 pm until 3.35 pm

Fridays: 8.40-10.00.
