Year 12 Textiles and Design nomination for exhibitions
Year 12 Textiles and Design has been able to showcase the range of major textile projects within the school library. Samira Chami, Teacher Librarian and a previous Textiles and Design student, applied her creative skill to display the projects in the versatile new spaces.
With the results for Year 12 fast approaching, it is exciting to hear Jennifer Hart has been invited to apply for the Textstyle Exhibition and Shape Exhibition. Jennifer created a reversible child's quilt which featured extensive machine and hand embroidery which was inspired by her childhood memories of life in England blended with her experiences of the natural and cultural including Indigenous influences of life in Australia. The nominated major textile projects will be accessed within the next few weeks. We wish Jennifer well in the selection process.

Hospitality
On 5 and 12 November, Year 11 operated a pop-up restaurant for their families. We served a three course meal with fruit punch and house-made bread rolls. Mr Mendonca came two weeks' previous for a technical bread-making course and the bread was frozen for both these evenings.
Our parents loved the experience and thoroughly enjoyed having dinner made for them for once (the food was fabulous). On each night, one class would cook for their parents and the other class would serve. Overall, it was a great experience and was very fun to do, for both parents and students.
