Arts Space Term 4 Lunchtime Activities
'Arts Space' is a weekly lunch-time art session available for students who wish to do some extra art and learn new art and craft skills at Koonung Secondary College.
This term students have been exploring air-dry clay and making interesting key-rings, hanging decorations and small 3D sculptures.
Students have also been making painted and/or mosaic frames, and, exploring the age old craft of knitting.
Some students have challenged themselves and are working on knitting 3D mini teddy bears.
It has been fantastic to see the student's growth in their knowledge, skills and confidence. Well done to all the artists!

2020 Artist in Schools program
Following the success or our 'Koonung Creek Trail' mural we are delighted to advise that in 2020 the Arts Domain are again employing an 'Artist in School' through the Whitehorse City Council Artist in Schools Program.
Brett Ashby visited our Urban Art classes in 2019 for a school incursion involving a spray painting workshop.
It will be an exciting time as Brett has some great ideas on creating innovative and modern artworks to complement our new building structures for 2020. He will work with the Year 9 Urban Art class.
The Koonung Community welcomes Brett, he will no doubt bring a great deal of energy and enthusiasm to the Arts Domain and our Year 9 Urban Art classes.
An opportunity for students to shape the future of Heide Museum
