End of Year Celebrations

Extension & Enrichment Celebration Day

On Friday 22nd November, 30 students from Years 7-10 who have been involved in the Extension & Enrichment Program this year celebrated their achievements over the course of 2019 by attending a Celebration Day on Lygon Street, which involved seeing a film and enjoying pizza and cake at Brunetti.

Students attended a private cinema screening of 'Ride Like A Girl', which initiated much discussion of the 'Nup to the Cup!' controversies amongst the amazing personal story of Michelle Payne. Students involved in the Extension and Enrichment program (not all pictured below) have dedicated themselves to a program of goal-setting and personal achievement. They have regularly taken on more complex tasks in class as well as additional extracurricular opportunities at Coburg High School such as the Model United Nations, music ensembles, and the leadership of clubs.

We recognise all Coburg High School students at the end of the academic year, but a special congratulations to these students who have gone the extra mile in terms of their commitment to their own learning and to setting ambitious goals and sticking to them.

Year 10 Assembly

At our final Year 10 assembly we celebrated the academic achievements of the year 10 cohort with our award ceremony--well done to all those who received awards.  Emma S gave a stunning dance performance and we farewelled a handful of Year 10 students who are continuing their studies at TAFE and we wish them all the very best for the future. The transition from Year 10 to Year 11 is now complete and we can't wait to see you back in term 1, 2020.
