Classroom News - Year 1

English

This week and next week we will be focusing on Set 3 tricky words. Could you start practising these at home reading and writing these words. 

Mathematics

We have started our work on multiplication and division. This week we are focusing on making equal groups of items. Next week we are counting by 2's and 5's and sharing items. 

Science and Technology

This week we have started our new unit about living things. We are determining what things are living and nonliving. 

Religion

We have completed our unit on Baptism with a visit to the Baptismal font at the Cathedral. Fr Paul met with us and explained the Sacrament of Baptism, he also answered any questions that we had. We send out a big thank you to Fr Paul for his time.
