Principal's Report

Thanks to our P&F Association
I would like to acknowledge the amazing contribution our P&F Association makes to our school community. Just recently the P&F and Uniform Shop presented $65,000.00 to the school to assist us with our special projects - Refurbishment of Mary Clare Playground, New Bike Shelter and Performing Arts Resources. Without the dedicated P&F association we would not be able to proceed with these important projects and my sincere to gratitude to everyone who assists us to improve the facilities for our children. I would also like to acknowledge the amazing contribution from our 'Outside School Hours Care' group. Melissa and her team have donated $10,000.00 to the Playground update as well. Thank you so much for your generosity.
Year 5 Activities
Our Year 5 students are having a very busy term with their public speaking course, nursing home visits, leadership program and a very special art unit on animation. Thanks to all of our teachers for the excellent opportunities that are provided for all of our students.
Mary Clare Playground Update
We have had a quieter week with the playground refurbishment this week but next week it will be all systems go when the fake grass will be arriving! I would like to thank everyone for their patience whilst the ground work is completed.....not long to go now!
2018 Prep Student Session & Parent Information Evening
Next Monday 13th November our new Prep students will be visiting for the first 2 hours of the day to meet their new teachers and their classmates. It is a very exciting time as they begin their journey at St. Finbar's. Later that evening at 7pm all the Prep parents will be coming to the school for the information evening. Special thanks to Mrs Greenway, Miss Ireland, Mrs Yvette Porter and Mr Rodrigues for all of the preparation work that goes into a program such as this.
Facebook information and Seesaw
Don't forget to follow us on Facebook to see all of the current activities that happen here at school. It is also a great way for Grandparents and special friends to keep in touch. Seesaw is also an excellent way to digitally follow your child/ren's learning activities.
St. Finbar's has got Talent
Our Annual Talent Show began yesterday with some very excited children performing some great acts. Please keep an eye on the roster in the coming days/weeks for future performances. Thanks to our Year 6 SRC students - Ally G, Lily P, Lauren O, Brooklyn M, Mia Mc and Jack L for organising this event.
