State Library

State Library

" The Year 7"s attended the State Library as part of their Humanities classes. Over the past 6 weeks, all classes had the opportunity to visit the grandeur of our State Library and immerse themselves in the history of our city. As part of their ICT and research skills, all year 7s had the opportunity to improve their research skills and learn about important figures in the making of Melbourne such as William Buckley - a lawyer and founding member for our State Library and William Barak, one of the first inhabitants of present day Melbourne and influential spokesperson for Aboriginal social justice.
