Young Scholars Program

The College would like to congratulate Vanessa Liao of 10G1 for being accepted into the Kwong Lee Dow Young  Young Scholars program. 

What is the Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Program?

The Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Program is an academic enrichment program designed to support high achieving Victorian Year 11 and Year 12 students, offering events and activities to help develop academic and leadership skills, and make connections with university academics, scholars and other high-achieving students before you start your undergraduate degree.

How do you hope to develop as a result of being involved in this program?

By partaking in this program, I hope to develop my skills in both academics and leadership, and further enhance my ability to be a leader and role model in both the school and wider community.

I hope that this experience enables me to discover my strengths and weaknesses academically, and to progress as an individual through my VCE years and beyond. 

What are you most looking forward to?

I am most looking forward to getting to know a cohort of other like-minded individuals across Victoria, and attending events run by the KLD program such as VCE revision lectures, personal development workshops and overnight adventures.

Overall, I am looking forward to being a member of the KLD Class of 2020.
