Integrated and Writing

After completing our Intergrated unit on Immigration to Australia and our excursion to the Immigration Museum, students have been busily researching and writing an information report on a topic of their choice. Some topics include push and pull factors, Indigenous Perspectives, the First Fleet, the Gold Rush and many more. They are currently working on presenting their information reports in various formats. 

Maths

We are wrapping up our subtraction unit and have started a mini project. Each student 'received' $2,500 to spend at Ikea to redecorate their bedroom. They had to keep a running total but subtracting what they spent using any strategy they liked- jump, chunking, fact families, vertical algorithms and many more!
