Seaside District Girls Football Competition
It was a very enjoyable and succesful day out at the Year 5/6 District Girls Football Competition on Tuesday the 11th of July.
Played in a round robin format, Black Rock won each of their first four games in Pool A, qualifying for the Grand Final and securing a place at the Kingston Division Finals.
We were able to enter two teams throughout the day as we had close to 50 Year 5/6 girls who were committed to playing and attending some very cold training sessions this term before school.

Kingston Division Girls Football Competition
Following a wonderful day out at the Seaside District Girls Footy Competition, Black Rock were keen to compete again, this time at the Kingston Division Finals.
Played at Baxter Oval in Frankston, Black Rock played a total of 4 games across the day. In Round 1 our opposition was St Louis who we defeated by 9 points. In Round 2 we had Carrum Primary and after a late goal from Chilli, Black Rock were yet again victors by 4 points. On to Round 3, where Black Rock really flexed their muscles, beating Seaford North by 30 points.
Having won all 3 games, we qualified for the Kingston Division Grand Final and in what was a very hard fought and even contest, unfortunately Beamauris North were too strong for us.
A HUGE effort by the girls who now hold the ranking of #2 in the Kingston Division, very impressive!!
