Year 7 to Year 9
Find out what our Year 9s did at the Career Taster Program last term.
With the start of Semester Two on Monday, it was wonderful to see students and staff returning to school refreshed and ready for another exciting term. During the holidays, an email was sent to parents and caregivers to remind students of our College uniform and personal presentation guidelines. When these expectations are followed, it allows our teachers to focus on their core business of teaching without interruption.
At the end of Term Two, we celebrated the 'good' of our student's example by recognising the top 10% or Merit recipients for each year group. These students enjoyed a pizza lunch on Thursday. Students will continue to be recognised for being the best versions of themselves, and parents will be notified through Seqta notifications when a Merit award is given.
On Wednesday morning, the Middle School Assembly recognised the achievements from the Inter-House Athletics Carnival and the Semester One Interim Reports. It was wonderful to have so many parents and caregivers attend to witness the accomplishments of our students who continue to strive for their level of personal excellence.
A Certificate of Endeavor was introduced last year to recognise the outstanding effort that our students go to in showing commitment to all academic disciplines. These students do not have to achieve A grades to be eligible; it is centred around being excellent young people who engage in their classes and are recognised by their teachers for their willingness to learn. To be a recipient, a student must have received a majority of 'Outstanding' or 'Very Good' in their Approach to Learning in ALL of their subjects in their Semester One Interim Report, which includes: Engagement in learning, Strives for their best in all tasks, Contribution to the learning environment and Completion of home studies. The recipients for 2023 are:
