Mother's Day Stall

Ballarat High School’s second annual Mother’s Day Stall was held recently with great success.

The Vocational Major students hand made the products for sale in their classes and sold the items on the day. Earrings, mugs, ceramics, candles and photo frames were popular products and pre-ordered bunches of flowers sold very quickly. Students baked a range of tasty treats and worked hard cooking and selling bacon and egg rolls which put into practice their newly gained Food Handling Certificates.

Profits from the day are still being calculated but are looking very positive. More importantly, students had the opportunity to connect with their community and include real life experience in this valuable learning project. The students and VM teachers would like to thank members of the school community for their support in the lead up to the event and for their attendance and support on the day.

The Vocational Major team now turn their attention to Fiona’s Walk, a fund-raiser for cancer research, in the last week of term.
