Science/Inquiry

Science:

In Science we will be looking at Biological Science by exploring how living things have structural features and adaptations that help them to survive in their environment. Combined with looking at how the growth and survival of living things are affected by the physical conditions of their environment 

Inquiry (Health):

We will continue to reinforce the Positive Start program with a unit of study based on the development of key concepts for each cohort.

In Year 5, our focus will be to develop strategies and techniques to enhance personal resilience; as well as embedding group social interactions that reflect the school's Value System.

In Year 6 we will delve into developing a wider vocabulary to assist the children in being able to voice their emotions in a proactive way, to help them deal with challenging social and emotional situations.
