Scotsburn News

What a wonderful start we have made to 2021. It has been so great to see all of the students’ smiling faces return to class ready for a big year ahead. A special thank you must be made to the Scotsburn students and families for making Mr Morgan and Mrs Eddy feel so welcome into the Scotsburn community. As a staff, we are looking forward to embarking on the exciting journey that this year will bring!

Welcome to our 2021 Preps and Families

Despite all the rain that came down last Friday, six little rays of sunshine came smiling through the door ready to take on the new school year! This year we welcome Mia, Charlie, Seth, Luke, Wil and Hudson to the Scotsburn campus as Preps. We wish you all a happy and exciting journey as you grow and continue through your schooling.

Bus Travellers

If your son/daughter is a bus traveller and you haven’t already done so, please contact Mel in the office at the Buninyong Campus to complete the required forms.

Lunchtime Club

In great news, lunchtime club will be running every day at Scotsburn this year! This will provide a great opportunity for students to have another option at lunch times. Gaye, Raquel and Sharon are working feverishly on a schedule for this and it got underway on Monday with some loom band making.

Cross-Campus Afternoons

It was fantastic to see all the classes come together for the first-time last Friday afternoon as we started to explore what the year ahead will look like. Students worked together incredibly well in multi-age groups, supporting each other and having fun. In the coming weeks we will start our routine of rotations in the afternoon - Cooking and Sustainability on Monday, Science/STEM on a Tuesday and our school B Positive program on a Friday. We are all very excited to get started!

It was lovely to see our older students interacting with our younger students and role modelling during these sessions. Look out for more information on these sessions as well as timetables for rotations in your child’s class newsletter to be sent out later this week.

Specialist Timetable

Please see below for the Term 1 Scotsburn Specialist timetable:

Whole School Assembly

This Friday (5th Feb) will be our first whole school assembly for the year. Students will need to be dropped off at the Buninyong campus in the morning and meet in the courtyard in front of the office. Students will be bussed back to Scotsburn after recess and parents will have normal pick up arrangements at the end of the day.

Veggie Patch

One of the first projects in the yard to commence this term is to get the veggie patch up and firing. If any parents are interested in being part of a working party to assist with this, please let your child’s teacher know over the next week.
