Parent Reminders

Welcome to 2021.

Just a reminder that the attendance requirements required by the Education Department states that all absences have to be explained by the parents. 

“For absences where there is no exemption in place, the parent/carer must promptly provide an explanation on each occasion to the school. “

The easiest way to do this is via the compass app. For absences on the day, next to your child’s name you will see “Place an attendance note”.

For absences in the past if using the app on a mobile or a iPad you need to open the app in a browser ( three little lines in the top left corner, click on this scroll down to > open in app ). Next to the child’s name you will see in red “attendance note required” Click on this, select the date add the reason and save. Repeat for each absence.

Attendance – Late Arrivals

School starts at 8.30AM when the morning roll call is taken. All students who arrive at school after 8.40AM must report to the school office where they can be signed in for the day.

Attendance – Departures

When picking up students early please notify your child’s homeroom teacher, either at morning drop off or by email via the compass app.

Teachers will send the student to the office where they can be signed out. Please be aware of your child’s lunch and recess times and arrange to pick up your child either side of these time periods. If the pick is unexpected and you need to pick them up straight away please call the office and we will endeavour to have at the office as soon as possible.
