BASE 1270
The last few weeks have been a very busy time at Base 1270. We have celebrated NAIDOC WEEK in which all children contributed to making a mosaic Aboriginal flag out of hand prints and played indigenous games.
We also celebrated GRATITUDE WEEK where children contributed to creating a Gratitude Tree and played rounds of Empathy Bingo. We hoped this would help the children familiarise themselves with the words relating to Kindness, Empathy and Care.
Our learning focus this month is “Children are connected with and contribute to their world”. Children will be provided opportunities to investigate ideas, complex concepts and ethical issues that are relevant to their lives and their local communities.
We are on the home stretch now, with the only three weeks to go. We cannot wait to begin the Christmas cheer and have many fun activities planned to last all December long. Let’s finish the year with a BANG!
