Message from Student Council leaders/Vzkaz od vedení studentské rady

Tomaš Nepala (the Vice President of the Student Council) and I (Alexandra Brízová - President of the Student Council) decided to run for the Student Council because we want to fulfil ECP's potential and further embrace its unique spirit. We are achieving this with structural changes and additions. We are introducing new events, challenges and opportunities for students to enjoy and make them a permanent part of student life at ECP. Some of the additions include interhouse online competitions, movie nights and school hoodies.

Communication and collaboration are two of the key aspects we are focusing on to ensure that everybody's voice and ideas are heard and carried out. We are using our platform to inform and engage students with the latest opportunities, it also serves as a direct link to any suggestions from the students themselves.

Tomaš Nepala (víceprezident studentské rady) a já (Alexandra Brízová - prezidentka studentské rady) jsme se rozhodli kandidovat, protože chceme naplnit potenciál ECP a dále rozvíjet jedinečného ducha naší školy. Dosahujeme toho strukturálními změnami a novinkami. Představujeme studentům nové zajímavé akce, výzvy a příležitosti, které se stanou trvalou součástí studentského života v ECP. Naše novinky zahrnují online soutěže mezi kolejemi, filmové večery a školní mikiny.

Komunikace a spolupráce jsou dva klíčové aspekty, na které se zaměřujeme, abychom zajistili, že názory a nápady každého studenta budou vyslyšeny a uskutečněny. Používáme naši platformu, jejíž prostřednictvím studenty informujeme o nejnovějších příležitostech a zapojujeme je. Tato platforma slouží také jako přímý odkaz na jakékoli návrhy od samotných studentů.

A challenge we face this year is leading Student Council activities during online school. Luckily, we managed to adapt by becoming able to host effective meetings from our homes while still making a positive contribution to our school. So far, we have mainly focused on finding a solution to engaging and interconnecting the ECP community online. We successfully launched the Winter Olympics that have awakened the lively spirit through a series of online competitions. We hope that in 2021 we will have the opportunity to get more physical so that we can have a lasting effect on our school.

Výzvou, které letos čelíme, je vedení aktivit studentské rady ve virtuální škole. Naštěstí se nám podařilo přizpůsobit, pořádat efektivní schůzky online z našich domovů a nadále pozitivně přispívat k dění na naší škole. Dosud jsme se zaměřili hlavně na to, abychom našlí řešení, jak zapojit a propojit komunitu ECP virtuálně. Úspěšně jsme zahájili zimní olympijské hry ECP, které probudily živého ducha prostřednictvím řady virtuálních soutěží. Doufáme, že v roce 2021 budeme mít příležitost se více setkávat i osobně, abychom mohli dále ovlivňovat dění ve škole.
