“Not life, but good life, is to be chiefly valued.” Socrates
Dear Families,
I remember when I was younger and was thinking about what I wanted to do in my life. I think back to those times and was often driven by the pursuit of money, as I thought that this would bring me happiness. I worked plenty of jobs in my youth, earning cash and buying many things, including more bikes. As I grew older, I was often questioning my life and wondering what it was all about. I still do this and may always do so.
During our curriculum day on Relationship based Education (RbE), John Hendry shared a wonderful video with us, a TED Talk by Robert Waldinger. It’s about thirteen minutes long and I recommend you watch it if you are interested in thinking about what makes a ‘good life’. Here is the link to the video.
