SRC 2022

Over the past few weeks, the SRC executive team have been working hard coming up with activities for the whole school to be involved in at lunchtimes.

Our first week we had a Jenga and Downball competition, which was extremely popular and worked out very well with heaps of students having a go, it was great to see so many people involved. The week after we had teacher trivia and again we had a huge number of students participate and really enjoy themselves. Our next few weeks we have similar riveting activities planned for everyone to get involved in at lunchtimes. This week we have a board games day with kahoots and just dancing. For the weeks leading up to week 10 we have an amazing race, a giant game of student vs teacher guess who, tie dye.

To cap off a fantastic term we are also planning an Easter Extravaganza during week 10. In this week we have an activity being held every day consisting of: egg and spoon races, egg your friends, an Easter egg hunt and Easter raffle, 3 leg race and a movie day with a casual dress on the last day of term. There will be plenty of fun for all plus heaps of prizes to be won.

For the rest of the year we are also planning many weeks to look like this and will be discussing these activities with our new SRC reps who were announced last week. We are also planning a whole school mental health day on ‘Do It For Dolly Day’, as our prime focus this year is our students' mental health. This day will consist of activities based on all interests such as cookie decoration competition, arts and crafts, a colour fun run, sports activities being run all day, rock painting, chalk drawing and many more exciting activities and we will also have a guest speaker.
