Year 10 Geography Fieldwork Trip – Cronulla

Year 10 Geography students recently undertook a fieldwork trip to Cronulla. During the trip, students applied various geographical skills as they investigated the causes, extent, consequences and management of environmental change at Wanda, Elouera and North Cronulla beaches. This experience provided the boys with an opportunity to see firsthand the functioning of coastal environments. This included the way human and biophysical processes change the shape of beaches as well as the management strategies used to address coastal erosion. Data collected from the fieldwork will now be used by students in their first assessment task for the year.
