Year 7-12 Athletics Carnival

The Northern Bay College Year 7-12 Athletics Carnival was held at Goldsworthy Athletics Track on Thursday March 24. Year 7-12 students from the Goldsworthy, Hendy, Wexford, Tallis and Peacock campuses all competed for their houses, Freeman, Irwin, Mabo and Bradman. The weather was perfect and the competition strong. 14 new records were set on the day and participation was at an all-time high.

Well done to all competitors who competed so hard on the day, it was great to see the College values in action after two years where we’ve been unable to run a lot of sporting events. Thanks to all the staff who assisted in making sure the day ran smoothly and for using the opportunity to build positive relationships with students across the College.

Freeman house were again the overall champions on the day, finishing on 1356 points, ahead of Irwin (1194), Mabo (934) and Bradman (800). 2023 brings another opportunity for Freeman to be knocked off their perch.
