Education in Faith

Education in Faith encompasses the following areas: Religious Education, Prayer, Liturgy and Sacraments.

First Eucharist

This Saturday the 5th of March, our Year 4 and 5 children will be celebrating their First Eucharist.

As people of faith, our Year 4 and 5 children have been preparing for this special sacrament. Our children began their learning journey by engaging in a Eucharist workshop with Maria Forde.  The workshop focused on the importance of sharing a meal with your family just like Jesus did.

As a learning community, we unpacked the learning that Maria Forde shared with us and have continued in class focusing on the whole school scripture.  “A road to Emmaus” focuses on Jesus sharing the bread and wine with his friends.  Our students have also been designing and mosaicing chalices that will be part of the celebration on Saturday.

As a learning community, we acknowledge our Eucharist canditates and wish them all the best as they celebrate this special sacrament.

Caritas Australia is a worldwide organisation. Caritas serves the mission of the Catholic Church to serve the poor and promote charity and justice throughout the world.  Your generous support can help change the lives of some of the world’s most vulnerable people.

Join us this Lent to raise much-needed funds for people living in poverty.  Together, we can make a difference now, for all future generations. This week, every family will be given a Caritas moneybox to bring home to raise money for the poor. All your donations are greatly appreciated and go towards a very worthy cause.

Our Social Justice leaders, Nakita and Jessica, explained to the students at assembly last week about the Caritas moneyboxes.
