Year 11 Chemistry

Year 11 Chemistry classes are learning about metals this week. They are investigating the properties of metals and their reactions with water, acid, and other compounds. 

We did a demonstration of sodium metal in water which had a bit of an aggressive reaction. Students also tested the reactivity of metals through displacement reactions and reaction with dilute hydrochloric acid.
