Principal's News

Dear Parents and Caregivers of St Joseph’s Primary School,

Wow, what a busy and varied time we have had over the past 2 weeks! It was amazing to see the students running and playing on the new turf, especially after the blessed rain we have received.

A massive thank you needs to go to all of the staff and volunteers who donated their time to ensure the students had a fun time at the swimming carnival. These events are put on to ensure that our students can have the opportunity to be part of different experiences. For us to have a swimming pool so close in our community is wonderful and I am thankful for this, as others do not get the opportunity.

Next week, we have a number of different events and visitors to our school.

Catholic Schools Office - Armidale

On Monday we welcome the leadership team of the CSO, as well as the leadership team of St Joseph’s Primary School Walgett. We will be sharing our school’s Annual Improvement Plan for 2020. Our school visitors will be doing a learning walk through the school to see the wonderful learning that takes place.

Parents & Friends Association AGM

Our P&F AGM will also be held on Tuesday (25 February) at 7 pm. At this meeting, we will be asking for nominations for new committee members as well as nominations for a new President and Treasurer. The AGM will be held straight after the Parent Information session.

Beginning School Assembly & Ash Wednesday Mass

I invite all of our school community to join us for Mass on Wednesday at 9.15 am. We will be welcoming our new students and families to the school, presenting badges to our 2020 school leader and celebrating Ash Wednesday.

I hope that you all have a relaxing and fruitful weekend.
