Education in Faith

October is the month of The Rosary

Our Lady of The Rosary – Feast Day is 7th October and the month of October is dedicated to Our Lady.

The Rosary’s origins are attributed to St. Dominic, who received the prayer in a vision of Our Lady in 1214.  The word Rosary means "Crown of Roses" and was given as a title for Our Lady because she is a Queen and the rose is the queen of flowers.  Therefore the Rosary is the rose of all prayers and of all devotions and is of greatest importance.  The Rosary remembers the Birth, Life, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, special events and Mary His mother.
