Out and About.....

Following the Opening Mass last Tuesday the students enjoyed a BBQ lunch at the oval. Feeding 940 students is no small feat, so particular thanks are extended to the maintenance, canteen and hospitality staff for the group effort.

Last Wednesday was Ash Wednesday and the commencement of Lent. Each year level was involved in a service regarding the significance of the day and the launching of Project Compassion for 2020.

Year 7 parents were here last Wednesday night for the Mac Attack session, for those wishing to become more conversant with the Apple Mac computers. This session was run by the e-Learning Leader, Richard Kelleher. Our thanks to him. If parents have any concerns regarding the Mac Computers they are asked to please email Aldo on abalducci@killester.vic.edu.au (IT Coordinator)

Year 7s headed off to Phillip Island for camp on Wednesday and return today. There was great excitement at the buses as they prepared to head off.

Monday March 9th is the Labour Day holiday, leading into Week 6 of Term 1 and the Year 10 "Future Directions" week, the Year 11 camp Civics and Citizenship tour to Canberra and the Year 12 Retreat. If you have any queries regarding these events, please contact your daughter's Homeroom teacher or SDL.

Finally, today is International Women's Day. This is a day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The various student committees organised activities that will be reported on by the girls involved.

Best wishes for the week ahead
