JFC School Library

It is exciting to announce that the John Fawkner College school library had the official launch on the hot afternoon of Friday 17 February 2023. We had a great lunchtime opening and even a sneaky soft opening for year 7 students during period 4. It was wonderful to see students excited and engaged in reading! 

Students will be able to borrow books to read during Drop Everything and Read (DEAR) time in classes or as part of their homework reading journal. This has been a labour of love as teachers spent a lot of the previous year cataloguing and sorting the books to make it clearer and easier for students to access. We look forward to students being able to borrow in class time, during Friday lunchtime and during Book Club, which will run Tuesdays at lunchtime!
