This term is moving along at the speed of light; we have arrived at Week Six!  Students and staff have been busy especially in the shearing shed which is filling up fast.  A big thank you to the students, Mr Laird, Miss Martini and the trainers, you are all doing a fantastic job!

Good luck to the students who will compete at the Wagin Woolorama this weekend.

In the paddocks, the last of the Gypsum is being spread out and then the seeding unit needs to be pulled out of the shed, given a once over and then straight into seeding our Vetch and cover crop paddocks.  Again, I encourage students when they feel confident after some practise, to ask the Technical Officers to do their practical assessment.

The cattle feed trial is going well with cattle being weighed and the weights recorded to assess the difference in weight gain between feeding good quality hay and that of commercial pelleted feed.  This is a collaboration between Class and Farm, and everyone is excited to learn the outcome.

As always, we remind all students, especially Certificate III students, to please use their time wisely and get assessments finished and handed in on time.  We wish everybody a productive fortnight and take care.
