School Council Report

A big welcome to new and returning parents.

School council met on Wednesday 15 Feb, which was the last meeting for the existing council. Four parent member positions will become vacant and we strongly encourage you to consider nominating. Please speak to Matt regarding nomination.

We were pleased to hear from Matt that the 2023 school year has started smoothly. Students have settled quickly into their new classrooms and routines, with the Grade 3s and 4s already enjoying 2 nights at Camp Wyuna. A big thanks to the parent helpers who volunteered their time on this camp. Current enrollment at the school is 256 students.

Our main topic for discussion was the need to get together as a school community early in the year, to meet new parents and families and generate interest in supporting school community events, fundraising activities, and general maintenance. On this note, we encourage you to attend the PFA morning tea on Thursday 23rd February. There are several events and fundraising activities planned for the year, including the fete, and your support will be greatly appreciated. If you are unable to attend the morning tea, please send expressions of interest to Briony or the school office.

Take care
