PPS Swimming trials

Tuesday 14th February at Bayside Aquatics

This year a record number of 70 students from Years’ 3-6 competed at Bayside Aquatics to try and make the 2023 Swim Team.

All results are on the windows on the gym. Congratulations to all who gave it a go. The swim team will be presented at assembly this Friday along with the announcement of the 2023 Swim Captains.

Annual privacy reminder for our school community

Our school collects, uses, discloses and stores student and parent personal information for standard school functions or where permitted by law, as stated in the Schools’ Privacy Policy.

We ask parents to also review the guidance we provide on how we use third party platforms Compass, Seesaw, Office 365 safely at the school and what parents can do to further protect their child’s information.

Scholastic Book Club - Issue 1 out now

Closing date for Orders – Friday 17th February

Thank you for supporting Book Club at Parkdale Primary School! For those that are new to our school, we participate in Scholastic Book Club each year. Up to twice a term, during the school year, we send home the Book Club catalogue with a different selection of books offered for all ages. When ordering from Book Club, you are not only helping your children, but you are also helping our school as 15% of your spend, goes back to our school in valuable Scholastic Rewards, which are used to buy classroom resources. In 2022, we raised over $1,350, which the school can use to purchase library books, AR books, class sets of dictionaries and mentor texts for classrooms. In this exciting issue, Scholastic are giving away FREE BOOKS (on LOOP orders) to help celebrate and spread the love of reading at our school. Spend over $30 to receive 1 free book; over $50 to receive 2 free books and over $70 to receive 3 free books:

Ordering from Book Club is easy—simply go online and place your order using LOOP online or using the app.

You can continue to order from this issue after the school close off date, but delivery of the books will be made directly to your home and not to school (and will incur a charge of $7.50). Guitar Lessons at School

Guitar lessons are available at Parkdale in after school hours. Lessons are held on Wednesdays and Thursdays in the music room at the school. All lessons are run for the duration of half an hour. 

There are private lessons available in person or online from another location.
