Student achievements

Congratulations to the following students:

Lucy Hofler, Lydia Wolfe, Ava Menzie, Bella Turner, Lucy Callinan, Mackenzie Graves, Holly Richardson, Ruby Lane and Leni Vagg (Year 9), who enjoyed a victorious weekend, winning their grand final in the U16 division of the summer Southern Touch competition. The students play for the Phantoms and are proving to be a force to be reckoned with on the field. We can't wait to see what the next season has in store for them!

Taylah (Year 11) and Macey Hayes (Year 4), who competed in the ACT and Sydney Judo competitions, coming away with superb results and a collection of medals between them. Taylah won bronze at both events, while Macey fought hard to claim two gold medals in her divisions.

Madison Mackey (Year 10), Sarah Thomas, Tilly Wise, Ella Striker (Year 9) and Ruby Robinson (Year 7 - coxswain), who joined forces to win the U17 Women's Quad Scull at the 2023 Rowing Tasmania State Club Championships (17-19 February).  A special congratulations to Sarah and Maddie on finishing first in the U17 Women's Double Scull.

Claire Oliver, Ella Robinson (Year 12), Maddie Higgins and Olivia Walter (Year 11), whose Tasmania University Boat Club crew took out the U23 Women's Eight at the recent Tasmanian State Club Championships. It was terrific to see the students team up with St Mary's College alumni, Kate Oliver and Sophie Robinson (class of 2020) to secure the win. Well done, rowers!
