9 Life Community Cooking

During term 1, students in 9 Life Community cooking chose a charity to raise money for. Students ran 2 food stalls and made a total of $150 in profit to go towards the Dining Room Mission. 

 

We were lucky enough to have Jack, who is a volunteer at The Dining Room Mission come and talk to the class about the mission and all the work they do. It was a very educational and eye-opening session and students were able to ask questions. 

 

Students have also participated in 2 cooking sessions to develop practical skills and to build community within the classroom by eating their meals together as a class.  

 

VCE Food Studies

Unit 1 Food Studies have been learning about understanding foods from around the world. Students prepared Seedy Bread Rolls and Quinoa Salad.
