Past Pupils Visit

Two past students visited the school last week to have a look around and share some of their memories of Brighton Primary 50 years ago.

Simon Kessler and Tim Lever attended Brighton PS in the late 1960’s, completing grade 6 in 1971. It was fascinating to hear from them how much had changed, but also how much was still familiar.

They shared stories of playing ‘British Bulldog’ in the old shelter shed (which was since converted into our current art room), class sizes of 40 students, and collecting chrysalis from the playground and returning the next day to find butterflies flying around their classroom. They also recognised the portrait of the Queen in our Junior Building, as being the same one that hung in the same spot 50 years ago.

It was a lovely walk down memory lane for both them and us.
