Wii Gaay Residential School
Last Monday Ayden and I travelled to Dubbo for the week to attend the Residential Wii Gaay School. We had the privilege of camping at the zoo for a night and going on a night tour around the zoo.
On Tuesday we travelled back to Dubbo for the students to start their learning rotations of numeracy, literacy and IT.
Ayden and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of the camp.

McCarthy Catholic College is Enrolling Now
Congratulations on another successful year of Art Competition entries. This year we received just over 60 entries which raise a total of $60 for Project Compassion. This week, students will have the opportunity to view the artworks and winners for each stage will be announced at Friday's assembly. On Thursday, 7th April, parents and carers are invited to tour the Art Gallery (AKA the Library) where all of our entries, including our winning artworks, will be displayed. The Art Gallery will open on conclusion of the Easter hat parade and raffle. We look forward to seeing you there!
Congratulations to Ricky and Lyla who were drawn out as last week's challenge winners. Here are the answers:
Primary - When Lisa was 6 years old, her sister Lucy was half her age. If Lisa is 40 years old today, how old is Lucy? A: Lucy is 37 years old (3 years younger than Lisa).
Infants - I am a one digit number. I am more than 3, but less than 9. I am the number of sides on two triangles. What am I? A: The number 6.
This week's challenges are:
Primary - What can you place between 5 and 6 to make the outcome bigger than 5, but less than 6?
Infants - I am first in Earth and second in heaven. I appear two times in a week. You can only see me once in a year, although you can find me in the middle of sea. What am I?
The 10c collection drive has been very strong this term. Our current total is $767.80! As you bring your donations in on Wednesday morning, can I please ask that you ensure your donations are in a plastic bag that is tied up and sealed. This will help to ensure that our school entry point remains tidy, as well as ensuring cleanliness for the staff who are transporting and depositing the bottles.
Don't forget, Sports Day = Donation Day!
