Cricket Tasmania Premier League Presentation Night

Congratulations!

Mark Waddington was the recipient of a Chairman’s Award for service with the New Town Bucks & Lindisfarne Cricket Clubs.

  • Mark  Waddington commenced at St Virgil’s College in 2012 as Director of Development  which is a massive role given the transition of SVC from a 3-10 school to a K-12 school to be fully operational in 2024 However, he has found time to become heavily involved in the local and school cricket scene since 2013.  At the school level he has taken charge of the senior teams and had had considerable success during this period.  He contributes significantly to the successes with the annual competition with Hutchins Year 10 sides vying for the Saunders-DiVenuto trophy and with the yearly encounter between the Year 9 teams from St Pat’s and St Virgil’s for the Coyle-Clingeleffer trophy.  Perhaps his greatest success was with St Virgil’s winning the State SATIS T20 Championship in 2019 – the first senior cricket award for the College since 1992.
