Welcome to our new Parish Priest

Fr Kingsley
Fr Kingsley

The St Josephs' School community extends a warm welcome to our new Parish Priest, Father Kingsley Etoh.  Father Kingsley was born in Nigeria.  Bishop Michael Kennedy ordained him a deacon in March 2016, and in December the same year, he was ordained a priest. Following his ordination, Father worked as an assistant priest at the cathedral in Armidale for six months. He worked in Glenn Innes as an assistant priest for another six months, before his next posting in Moree, where he stayed as an  assistant priest for three years.

This Friday, 6th May at 9:30am, the St Joseph's School community invites families and friends to join us for a special Mass to celebrate mothers.  It will be our first Mass with Fr Kingsley as our new Parish Priest and we hope to see as many of our families and friends there to welcome him.

Please take some time to read the following article from Australian Catholics on 'Our debt to mothers.'

Pope Francis' Prayer to Mary - during the Coronavirus Pandemic

O Mary, you always shine on our path as a sign of salvation and hope.  We entrust ourselves to you , Health of the Sick, who at the cross took part in Jesus' pain, keeping your faith firm.  You, Patroness of our Diocese of Armidale, know what we need, and we are sure you will provide so that, as in Cana of Galilee, we may return to joy and to feasting after this time of trial.  Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform to the will of the Father and to do as we are told by Jesus, who has taken upon himself our sufferings and carried our sorrows to lead us, through the cross, to the joy of the resurrection.  Amen.

Please join with us in prayer as we continue to pray for the people of the Ukraine:

Wishing all the mothers, grandmothers, aunties & all women who have answered the call to be caregiver, a wonderful day this Sunday.

God bless,

Mrs Wendy Rheinberger
