School Holiday Fun!

Here are some fun ideas for the upcoming school holidays. It is important we wind down after our first full term of school in almost 2 years!

Kids Day Out

This Good Friday, enjoy a Convention Centre's worth of activities while raising funds for sick kids.

Bring your teddy for a check up at the Teddy Bear Hospital, take part in fun creative sessions with Fizz Kids, enjoy carnival rides and classic cars.

Some activities will require a paid ticket available on the day, while others are supported by  donations.

The (Very) Big Laugh Out

A line-up of the best physical and musical comedy acts on the Fed Square Main Stage. Right through the school holidays. And the best bit? It’s totally free!

The Fed Square Main Stage will host a fabulous cavalcade of local artists including: Clara Cupcakes, Double Denim, Don’t Mess With The Dummies, Geraldine Quinn, Die Roten Punkte, Patrick Collins, The Listies, Dolly Diamond, Garry Starr, Josh Glanc, Anna Pocket Rocket, Hayley Hoopla, Vidya Makan and more.

Fed Kidz

Mini adventurers and artistes assemble! Parents and carers: breathe a sigh of relief – Fed Square is here to help you get through the April school holidays in one piece, with Fed Kidz.

Little ones can explore the unknown, make new discoveries and get their creative juices flowing with a full program of small-group workshops, activities (Melbourne Museum's Triceratops Dino Dig; Little Food Festival), big screen gaming, live shows (Dora! PJ Masks; The (Very) Big Laugh Out), family films and more.

Check out the full program online. Many activities require registration – so don’t forget to secure your child’s spot before they disappear, like the dinosaurs.

The Playground

Spanning three magical zones, The Playground is the perfect place to take kids these school holidays.

Walk through the colourful archway to Circus Street at Newquay Central Park. Crawl through tunnels of ‘fire’, pull funny faces in magic mirrors or head to the Popcorn stage to see circus performers.

Skip between marshmallow trees to find Unicorn Garden at Newquay Promenade. You'll meet fairies then craft your own unicorn crown or dragon tail.

Then scramble over a giant platypus, climb through a Murray cod and a short-finned eel in the Yarra River of Giants. Be sure to catch The Whale’s Tale – a 45-minute interactive show, at 11am and 2pm.

You can also battle it out with your friends and family in the Nerf zone. It's free to play but you'll need to register for a session.

The Playground is designed for children aged 4 to 12 years.
