Holy Week Celebrations: The Passion Story
Thank you to our Year 5/6 students for leading us all through the Passion Story, the events of Holy Week, in a most reverent re-enactment on Wednesday.
It was also nice to see some parents join with their child to follow the Holy Week story.
Easter Raffle
Thank you to everyone for all the Easter eggs donated this week for our raffle and to our small crew of wrappers who have done a wonderful job organizing and packaging the prizes.
Our raffle will be drawn on Friday at around 12:15 pm just prior to dismissal.
School Photos
Last week you would have received your order forms for school photos. School photos will be taken on Thursday 28th April in the first week back of Term 2.
ORDERS CAN ONLY BE MADE ONLINE.
Please do not return the order form to the school. Cash orders will not be accepted.
To order, simply go to www.schoolpix.com.au. enter your personal Order and ID Numbers (found on your order form) and follow the prompts.
Photos will be sent to the school for us to distribute. Orders placed prior to 2nd May will be postage free.
Sibling photos will also be offered. Details as to how to order can be found on your Order Form.
On photo day, children are to wear the correct Summer Uniform. The Summer Uniform is:
Boys: Blue short sleeve shirt, grey shorts, grey socks, black shoes
Girls: Summer dress, white socks, black shoes (stockings/tights are not to be worn)
Jumpers may be worn throughout the day but will be removed for the photos. The Student Leaders, Sports Leaders and Social Justice Leaders need to wear their badges for photos.
As per our policy, long hair is to be tied back using blue/black or white hair accessories!
Photos commence at 9:00 am sharp so please have children at school on time and presented neatly.
We understand that on this day some classes have PE. Children can bring a pair of runners to change into later if they choose.
Winter Uniform
Next term children can commence moving into their winter uniform. It is expected that all children be wearing winter uniforms by 16th May which is the first day of Week3.
Uniform items can be ordered through the school office. You can locate the Order Form on our website via the following link: https://www.cckingsville.catholic.edu.au/enrolment-information/uniform/
The easiest way to order is to complete the form and email it to info@cckingsville.catholic.edu.au
You will then be contacted to arrange a payment and pick-up time.
Alternatively, you can drop off your order form in person at the school office.
Please note that uniform requests may not be able to be purchased during busy times or on the same day.
Student Portfolios
This Friday, children will bring home their Student Portfoilio to share with you. The Portfolio is a snapshot of the work completed in Term 1.
Please take the time to celebrate with your child their achievements so far. View and discuss the wonderful pieces of work your child has produced and let them do the talking of what was involved with each piece and how they addressed the success criteria of the learning. You will need to pull pieces out of the plastic pockets to see the complete work and teacher feedback.
It is important that the portfolio be returned to school the first day of Term 2 so that we can continue to compile samples.
End of Term
A reminder that all students will finish at 1:00 pm on Friday 8th April... the last day of Term 1.
