Important Information and Reminders

Bus Stop and parking

Great news, we have made great progress with the Wyndham Council. Our new Bus Stop on Coaching Parade has been designed and approved. It is expected to begin construction in June.

In the meantime, a reminder to parents who arrive early that parking on the strip directly in front of the visitor parking should be avoided as this creates logistical issues for when the bus arrives.

Covid Updates

Homestead will continue to be provided with the same weekly quantity of RATs.

However, from Monday 23 May 2022, it is recommended RATs are used by students and staff when symptomatic only. RATs are also required to be used for 5 days if a student or staff member is a close contact of a confirmed case and they are attending school.

From Monday 23 May 2022, it will therefore no longer be recommended that non-symptomatic students or staff conduct RATs twice a week.

Students and staff must continue to notify the Department of Health and Homestead if they return a positive RAT result.

Vaccination remains the best way to protect students and staff in school settings and your ongoing support in encouraging 16-17 year olds to get their third dose remains critical.

Face masks also can continue to be used by any staff or students who wish to do so, including those who are medically at-risk.

Uniform Donations Welcome

Our students look amazing in their uniform. The college supports many students to ensure that we are able to have every student in the correct uniform. At Homestead, there is no excuse not to look amazing in the correct uniform.

To continue to support our community we welcome the donation of used, clean uniform in good condition to assist our students to wear the uniform correctly, as well as to support our families in need.Donated items will help us create a uniform bank that will benefit our school community. If you have any questions, please contact the reception.
