Interschool Sport

Senior Boys Netball participated in the Western Region Inter School Sports, at Altona Netball Stadium, on Thursday the 5th of May. The boys went up against Williamstown Bayside and Williamstown High School and they were able to win 3 out of 4 games, narrowly losing the title of first place by 1 point. We at Homestead are extremely proud of the effort the boys showed on the day.

Senior Badminton participated in the Western Region Interschool Sports, at Altona North Badminton Centre, on Tuesday the 10th of May. The senior badminton teams went up against Williamstown Bayside, Williamstown High School and Point Cook Senior. Both the senior boys and senior girls team did extremely well. I would like to congratulate the senior girls team for gaining the title of premiers for the tournament. We at Homestead are extremely proud of the efforts all students showed on the day.

Homestead Basketball League is up and running!

After a monumental effort from our students and staff, we’ve been able to start the inaugural homestead basketball league; where houses face off against each other, in order to crown and present the winning house with our very first HBL cup, draped in their colours. We’ve had three games in as many weeks so far. With only 3 weeks before the finals, the race is heating up to win the top seed overall. The results so far are as follows:

Western United Football Club Make the Finals

Wester United has partnered with Homestead to support our community to have opportunities that may not otherwise be available.

So far this year, we have been fortunate enough to have been provided with more than 400 free tickets to the A-League matches, including finals tickets.

This is a very exciting venture for both Homestead and Western United as this is our local club. Once built, Western United home matches will be played in the new stadium that is currently under construction in Tarneit.

It is incredible that as a new club, they have made such a great impact on the A-League already. On Saturday, WU took on Melbourne Victory in the second leg of the Semi-finals and won 4-1. They are now in the final against Melbourne City on Saturday 28 May.

We encourage as many of our families to get out there and support their local club if they can.
