Around The Primary

Dear Parents

Thanks for coming along to today’s Interhouse Athletics Carnival and sharing in the excitement of the races, relays, team games and field events. There were many outstanding individual and team performances.

As the day progressed, several things also became clear. Firstly, the attitude and behaviour of the Year 3-6 students was superb. Secondly, the encouragement the students gave to their peers was outstanding. The pats on the back, the compliments they gave to each other and the smiles on their faces after completing a race or team event was great to see. Thirdly, the support from parents and grandparents was terrific - we are so lucky to be able to gather as a community.

A sincere thank you to Mr Williams for coordinating this event and to all staff and parent volunteers for their hard work on the day.

Yesterday it was RU OK? Day, and this is a great catalyst to start some more difficult conversations. Encourage your children, family and friends to reflect on how they really are feeling, listen to them, thank them for sharing, and express your own emotions as well. By discussing our individual experience with a loved one, we can build connections, create safe spaces and learn to come to terms with our situation. We remain committed to supporting the needs of our community and remind everyone that there is always help and understanding to be found at the College.

Kind regards,

Antoinette De Pinto

Head of Primary
