Book Week 2021

Planting the seeds of what you need to know about Book Week at SMPS

Theme: Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds

The 2021 Children's Book Council of Australia Book Week is returning to SMPS this week. Throughout the week, students and staff will engage in a number of fun activities, all in relation to a love of Literacy.

Poster Competition- Winners Announced

We asked children across all grade levels to create a poster incorporating the theme of Book Week 2021- Old Worlds, New Worlds and Other Worlds. We had  60 incredible poster entries. All of the posters that we received demonstrated so much creativity and imagination. It was evident that all students tried their best!

It was very hard to judge as the entries were incredibly imaginative and creative. A winner has been chosen from each grade. Winners will receive their book prize when we get back to school. Well done to:

On Friday 27th August, every student is invited to come to the morning Webex check-in dressed as their favourite character from their favourite book. Staff will also be in character- you can see us all at the 3:00pm Assembly.

Each Day: Our Leaders are Readers
