PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Carly Avery

Dear Parents and friends,

Whilst we have settled once again into our remote learning routines, I am hearing and seeing a range of successes and challenges in this current lockdown. Some are finding the routines smooth, with students working independently. Whilst others are needed more short breaks and support to complete tasks. We all have different attention spans, so you may find your children need different breaks during the day. I had aimed to share the feedback from our recent survey today, due to spending more time supervising students on-site, this will be shared next week.

Thank you for the words of support for our teaching staff, they are much appreciated.

As this newsletter is being finalised Dan Andrews is making announcements about a continued lockdown. Whilst this is disappointing it does not come as a surprise to many of us. Further details, including the onsite attendance booking form, will be emailed home once guidelines have been received.

Sacramental Preparation

Thanks to those families who were able to attend our information session last week. A reminder to try and work through one session per week. Feel free to contact Markeeta Green if you have any questions.

Students on Site

Thank you to those parents who were able to quickly organise and share work permits with me. A reminder to please get in touch if you have any wellbeing concerns for your child/ren.

Foundation-Year Two Swimming

The swimming program for our Foundation, Year One and Year Two students is scheduled to take place next week in Wangaratta. Due to the current restrictions, it is unlikely that this will go ahead. Once restrictions are lifted we will try to reschedule.
