Brilliant Brains

Bugs Galore was the theme for this week’s Brilliant Brains workshop. We made colour caterpillars and counted spots on ladybirds. Playdough was popular again and Maddy made a cute bug. Another fun activity was finding bugs hidden in a tub of blue 'wriggly worms!' Ruby loved squishing her fingers through the worms. After reading “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” we painted a butterfly. Vinnie displayed some great scissor skills cutting grass to hide a bug made from different shapes. Once again it was a cold, rainy day, so after eating our fruit we went to the Multipurpose Room to have some fun on the play equipment. We finished the session with some bug actions and songs. I hope you all had fun and I’ll see you at the next Brilliant Brains. Kerryn Seaby

Review from Claire Thompson - Year 3/4

The Food Sensations® visit was amazing. Everyone loved it. We made chilli con Carne, fast pasta, crunchy noodle salad, dip and a delicious frypan fruit cake. The two most loved recipes in our class were the chilli con Carne and the fruit cake. The best part was the leftovers. Sadly there was no dip, chilli or fruit cake left.
