Year 12 College Reference Sheets 

Reference sheets will be issued to students during next week and all students are strongly encouraged to complete the sheet and request a written reference from the College. These are due to be submitted back to the College by Wednesday 22nd September. The references will then be written, compiled and available in the student’s graduation folder presented on the College Graduation and Prize Day.

Year 12 Leave Dates

As indicated in communication to Year 12 students and parents at the end of last week, Year 12 General students who have completed all of their course work and VET qualifications, are eligible to leave as of Friday 24th September. Students will be provided with a form at the beginning of next week to indicate their request to depart early or to return to the College next term. These forms will need to be completed and submitted by Friday 17th September. 

OLNA 

The writing and reading components of the Round 2 OLNA assessments have been completed by the students. The numeracy component will be completed next week and the results of the OLNA assessments will be available early in Term 4. Students who have sat the components to date are to be commended on their positive approach. Well done!

Year 10 Work Experience

Work Experience is scheduled at the end of Term 4. The purpose and function of this program is to expose students to the world of work, to explore areas of interest, create networks and obtain future referees/references for employment. 

The expectation is that students are not going home to work on the family farm/business, instead they are trying something different or new that may be a little out of their comfort zone.  Please refer to the work experience section of the newsletter for further details from Mrs Raper.
