Butterfly Body Bright

Our school is excited to have registered with Butterfly Body Bright, a new whole-school, evidence-based initiative of the Butterfly Foundation that aims to promote positive body image in all students so they can thrive socially, emotionally and academically.

Staff and students will be undertaking a range of activities to become a Body Bright School, and we look forward to sharing updates with you along the way.

Families also play an important role in helping to promote positive body image in children. You might like to visit the Body Bright Families webpage to access resources that will help you foster healthy attitudes and behaviours towards the body, eating and physical activity, in your home. Peaceful Kids:

It has been such a joy working with some of our Junior students on the Peaceful Kids program. This week we discussed what different areas of the brain do to help us, and then we made brain models out of playdough together. Learning about the brain is so good for connecting the dots of how our emotions are working.

Peaceful Parents:

I am still looking for a few more keen parents or guardians with flexible work schedules who are interested in participating in this 4-week program.  I am looking for parents with students from any year level.

See attached flyer for details.
