Schools For Rockets Competition @ Eastland Shopping Centre

Over the last couple of weeks some of our Middle and Senior School students have been working with Mr Crook and Mr Tate on our entry to the Schools for Rockets competition.

Eastland kindly supplied the rocket shell and the students have coloured, painted and glued a fantastic interior and exterior using recycled and reclaimed materials.

ALL PARENTS take the time to head to Eastland this weekend or next week and use the Q-code to vote for OUR entry.

First Prize, if we win, will be used to purchase extra Science and Sustainability equipment for students to use.

Scholastic Book Club

Yesterday all except one of the Scholastic Book Club orders were delivered to classrooms and the one person who that belongs to knows about the late order. Orders that were marked as gifts are available for collection at the office and these two people have been notified as well. I believe that all the rest of the orders have now been delivered. If you believe that you still have an outstanding order, please contact me at susan.offer@education.vic.gov.au. All books were in stock at Scholastic so there are no backorders.

If you would like to join us please come to the Indonesian room Tuesdays at recess.

We will continue our trip around the world, visiting lots of interesting countries! In Term 1, we did activities related to Canada, China, Mexico, Argentina, Japan and more. This week we created Eiffel Tower paintings after taking a look at France.

If you would like to join us we would love to include you on our journey around the world.

A reminder to please consider Flu Vaccination for your children if you haven't already done so.  We are currently experiencing high numbers of Influenza B in the community and this strain is hitting young people particularly hard (on two occasions with fatal consequences).

As always, please keep your children home if they are coughing, sneezing or showing other signs of cold or flu.
