Congratulations, All the Best and Welcome Back!

As many in the community are aware our school has had some wonderful celebrations and announcements over the recent period.

  • Laura Kitching, Travis and big sister Maddie welcomed baby Toby in July.
  • Kelly Fell, Jarryd and big sister Harmony welcomed baby Eli also in July.
  • Tayla Alderson and Jeff announced they're expecting in their first child in November. Shane Holloway will return to his previous classroom and take over MTA from Term 4.
  • Shane, Steph, Penny, Lani and Teddy have also announced they’re expecting another child early in the new year!
  • Jessie Cassidy, Trent and Jasper announced they’re welcoming another addition to the family in December. When Jessie begins Maternity Leave Bree Jennings will join Jaclyn Lister for two days as the job-share teacher in MCL.
  • Ashley Bau, Adam and big brother Riley are also preparing to welcome a new addition in December.
  • Katherine Tapscott has returned to the Year 2 team one day a week in the role of Leadership Release following the birth of her second child Joel.
  • Congratulations also to Leigh Dixon on his successful return to full-time work commitments this term following the birth of his and Kristy’s first child Kai earlier in the year.
  • In Term 4 we will welcome back Jacinta MacKenzie following the birth of her third boy Brady. Jacinta will resume her role leading Learning Enhancement and also teach a day a week as a Leadership Release in Year MSH.
  • In Term 4 we will also welcome back Assistant Principal Amy Prior following the birth of her first child Finn.  Amy will resume her Assistant Principal – Teaching and Learning responsibilities three days a week with current Acting Assistant Principal Bree Jennings continuing in the role alongside her.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the school community for your support of our people.

Proudly our school respects diversity, and this extends to supporting flexible work conditions for our staff. Flexible working arrangements value our staff as people and professionals and, provided the arrangements are structured in a way that they don’t provide excessive interruption to the continuity of learning, they keep our staff in touch with the school and contemporary trends.

Again, on behalf of all families that understand the importance of balancing personal commitments with work commitments, thank you!

It’s Time to Confirm our 2024 Prep Enrolments!

Enrolments Officer Robyn Miller and I are confirming our Prep enrolments for 2024. One thing we love to do for our incoming Prep students is give them an “I’m enrolled at Croydon Hills PS" tee-shirt!  Following notification of acceptance, families can collect their tee-shirt – perhaps when dropping off completed enrolment forms?

Trivia Night

Limited tables are still available for CHAPS’ Trivia Night on Saturday 12th August.  If you’re interested, please gather a group and register for a table!

Thank you to our amazing CHAPS team for leading this wonderful community event!

All funds will go towards the installation of synthetic Grass on our Junior Oval. NB: This project is still pending with the Victorian School Building Authority.
