Digital Technology

This term is all about coding. All grade levels will be investigating algorithms through block coding, at their level. 

For the first five weeks of this term all Grade 4-6 students will be challenged to code accurately robots called Sphero BOLTS. 

We have been lucky enough to borrow these robots from the Wangaratta Digital Resource Hub. 

So far students have learnt to connect, aim, drive and draw code with their robots. Imagine what they will be able to achieve by the end of Week Five!

Grade 1/2 students were challenged in week one by choosing the correct algorithm to create a paper plane. 

All students have found success with this and enjoyed testing out their planes. 

Foundations focused on following simple instructions using forward and left and right arrows.

They enjoyed testing out their algorithms on each other.
